The Mephisto Waltz- 1971

  • Alan Alda plays a classical piano player on the rise who befriends a famous player himself who's at death's door. Unknown to Alda, the guy is a satanist, who arranges to have their souls switch places at his death, so that he can be young again and continue to play piano (thus needing a skilled piano player like Alda to switch bodies with).

Trailer Trash Monday, in which I pick out a movie cover that looks interesting. And check out the trailer behind that movie. So for today, I ran into this movie The Mephisto Waltz.

So yeah while browsing through Amazon their Blu-ray and dvd horror section. I ran into this sweet slick looking cover art from the 1971 movie called The Mephisto Waltz. Hell. I have never heard of this movie. But the artwork got me instantly hooked. As I cream over this vintage satanic rites stuff.

The cover of this Blu-ray is pretty amazing. Pink and black combined. A Pentagram and a naked women, candles and a dog with a human head. What else would you want more? Check out the trailer! This movie stars Jacqueline Bissett who starred in The Deep (which is amongst my fave underwater sea claustrophobic stuff movies) and damn may I burn in hell, I have never heard of this movie before. The ultimate transplantion of the human soul, sounds interesting. Got my pre-order in right now.

The Mephisto Waltz is up for pre-order now and is released by Signal One Entertainment UK. It will come out on February 20th 2017!
